Android app development

An app makes sense where the browser no longer copes: staff work without a connection, you need a barcode scanner or the camera, and people have to come back to the service every day. In every other case we tell you plainly that a website will do, and we do not sell an app for the sake of an app.

What the work includes

  • Scenario breakdown: who will use the app and in what conditions — office, warehouse, street, vehicle
  • Native development in Kotlin: the app opens fast and does not look like a website in a frame
  • Working offline: data builds up on the device and syncs when the network returns
  • Push notifications and the events that trigger them — without spam and without “the notification arrived twice”
  • A link to your back end, CRM or accounting system — the app shows the same data they do
  • Camera, barcode scanner, geolocation, printing to a mobile printer — if the process needs it
  • Publishing on Google Play, signing, updates and working through review rejections

How the work goes

  1. 1 Scenario We work through the scenario: who uses the app, in what conditions, and what should happen when the connection drops in the middle of an action
  2. 2 Screens We lay out the screens and walk through them in a clickable prototype — changing a prototype takes an hour, changing a finished screen takes a day
  3. 3 Data We design the data and the sync: what is stored on the device, what comes from the server, how conflicts are resolved after a long time offline
  4. 4 Build We write in Kotlin and test on real devices of different generations, not only on the latest flagship in an emulator
  5. 5 Publishing We publish to Google Play: signing, descriptions, screenshots, the age rating and working through review rejections

What apps we build

We develop mobile apps of any complexity — from an MVP to large, high-load products. We take on any task: online stores, booking services, delivery apps, fintech solutions, corporate tools, social networks and media platforms.

We work both with native Android development and with cross-platform solutions, and choose the approach based on the budget, the timeline and the performance requirements. We take care of the integration with the back end, payment systems, push notifications and external APIs. We run the project from the idea and the prototype to publishing on Google Play and support after that.
